Plumbing FAQs
General Plumbing Services
Hot Water and Gas Plumbing
Yes. We provide gas plumbing services including gas leak detection, gas appliance connections, gas pipe repairs, gas bayonet points and general gas fitting work. Gas work must be completed safely and to Australian standards, so it should always be carried out by a qualified professional.
Grease Traps, Stormwater Tanks and Pump Systems
Yes. We can inspect and service grease trap plumbing connected to commercial kitchens, cafes, restaurants and food-related businesses. Grease trap issues can cause bad smells, blocked drains, slow drainage and wastewater backups, so they need to be maintained properly.
Commercial kitchen drains often block because of grease, oil, food scraps, poor drainage, undersized pipework or lack of regular maintenance. If the same drain keeps blocking, the issue may be further down the line or connected to the grease trap, so a proper inspection may be needed.
Yes. We can service, repair and replace stormwater pumps. If your pump is noisy, not turning on, constantly tripping, overflowing or failing during heavy rain, it may need maintenance or replacement before it causes flooding.
Yes. We can inspect, service and replace sewer pumps and pump-out systems. Sewer pump issues can cause bad smells, backups, overflows and serious hygiene problems, so they should be addressed quickly.
Signs of stormwater problems include overflowing pits, water pooling around the property, downpipes backing up, flooding during heavy rain, slow-draining outdoor areas, noisy pumps or stormwater tanks not emptying properly. Stormwater issues should be checked before heavy rain causes damage.
Leaks, Roof Leaks and Water Supply
Yes. We can assist with plumbing-related roof leaks, including issues with gutters, downpipes, flashings, roof penetrations and stormwater drainage. Roof leaks can cause ceiling damage, mould and electrical hazards, so they should be checked quickly.
Yes. We can help with water filtration options for your home or business. This may include under-sink filters, whole-house filtration, drinking water filters and replacement filter cartridges, depending on your property and water quality needs.
Blocked Drains, Drainage and Pipe Relining
Recurring blocked drains are often caused by tree roots, broken or collapsed pipes, grease build-up, foreign objects, poor pipe fall or ageing drainage. If the same drain keeps blocking, it is usually a sign there is a bigger issue that needs to be inspected properly, not just cleared temporarily.
Yes. We can help with blocked showers, bathroom wastes, vanities, floor wastes, kitchen sinks and laundry drains. Common causes include hair, soap scum, grease, food scraps and build-up inside the pipework.
Yes. We work on blocked stormwater drains, pits, downpipe connections and outdoor drainage lines. Stormwater blockages are commonly caused by leaves, dirt, tree roots, broken pipes or poor drainage design, especially during heavy rain.
Pipe relining is a way of repairing damaged underground pipes without digging up the whole area. A new liner is installed inside the existing pipe to seal cracks, breaks or root-damaged sections. It can be a good option for sewer and stormwater pipes where excavation would be difficult or expensive.
Pipe relining may be suitable when the pipe is damaged but still has enough structure to hold a liner. It can reduce digging, mess and disruption around driveways, gardens, paths and tiled areas. If the pipe has fully collapsed or has major alignment issues, replacement may be the better option.
